Phluxus2 Dance Collective is an award-winning boundary bashing Brisbane based dance-theatre company founded in 2006. The collective boasts some of Brisbane’s best dance artists, champions beautifully abstract movement landscapes that challenge choreographic praxis and creates cutting-edge live performance that is relevant to artists and audiences.

Lisa Wilson Projects

Lisa Wilson Projects creates immersive, distinctive and challenging performance works. A focus on  total environments for the work and integration of cross art form collaborations ensures the work is theatrically compelling and noted for being intellectually rigorous and artistically daring.

Lisa’s work has been a finalist at the Australian Dance Awards, The Helpmann Awards, and 6 nominations and winner at the Matilda Awards

Lisa Wilson

Lisa is an award-winning dance artist with an international career as director, choreographer, producer, performer, educator and mentor. Her body of work moves across genres, creating for theatre companies, opera, large-scale installation work, poly-media performances, company commissions, and full-length independent work. 

Lisa’s choreographic credits range from acclaimed full-length independent works, to works for - The Australian Ballet Company, Sydney Dance Company, Queensland Ballet, Expressions Dance Company, Dance North, Queensland Theatre Company, Opera Queensland, The Place Theatre (UK), to name a few. Her works have toured nationally in Australia to critical acclaim and showcased at national performing arts markets. As a choreographer, Lisa has been awarded numerous fellowships, grants and residencies both in Australia and internationally. 

Dr Nerida Matthaei

Dr Nerida Matthaei is an award-winning choreographer/director/performer, and the Artistic Director of Phluxus2 Dance Collective. The underlying pulse of her work comes from a passion for choreographic practice as a beautifully planned anarchy of mind-body collaboration. Nerida works with companies such as Polytoxic, Good Room, Red Leap Theatre, GOMA, Royal Ballet and QPAC. Highlights include Leila (Balisch Worldwide), Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony and Boy Swallows Universe (Queensland Theatre/Brisbane Festival). Recently Nerida created Proximal, toured Angel Monster (Edinburgh Fringe/Brisbane Festival) and received a Lord Mayors Women In Business Award. Nerida completed a Doctor of Creative Industries (QUT, 2018) specialising in choreography.
